Prerequisite: Previous needle felting experience is very helpful.

In this single session we will work step-by-step together on a scene including golden hay bales in a vibrant field. With all the right colors and textures in your roving kit we will work through special techniques to capture the rounded forms, the glisten of straw in the sun, and grounded shadows emerging from the field. We will complete a piece during class.

For a thorough introduction to the tools, techniques and materials it is recommended to begin with an introductory workshop, however it is not necessary to complete this in-class project.

All materials are all provided with the $40 material fee, due in class. These include a kit for each student with a range of dyed wool roving in the project palette, felting needles, acrylic felt pinned to a foam block and printed materials outlining tools, fibers and resources.
